5 Ways to Stop Going to that Useless Gym.

January 9th, 2010 Avery Green No comments

Gyms are all the same. Sure, you could be trudging your way to one right now, or perhaps you lost some weight in one earlier, but I’m telling you, there are loads of good reasons to quit going and exercise in a different way.

So hey, if you’re already a gym fan, no worries, but if you’re unsure, check out these 5 reasons why.

#5: Gym Prices Tend to Be Rather Obscene.

Gyms are unbelievably expensive for what they offer. Is there anywhere else in the world where you go maybe 2, 3 times a week, do all the work yourself, and pay extremely steep fees for the privilege? Hey, if you’ve got a great gym and can afford it, more power to you. But there are just too many out there that are complete rip-offs.

#4: People in Gyms Can Go Insane.

People sometimes come to the gym so often that they literally lose their minds, forgetting that the gym is a venue to getting in shape, not the be all and end all of their social calendar. If your gym is full of these people, be warned – you could become one, too.

#3: Do You Enjoy Covering Yourself in Other People’s Sweat?

Sure, the paper towels (or dirty towels brought from home) and the little spray bottles are there, but really loads of people just don’t bother to wipe down the machines they’ve been using before. You can block it out of your mind, but that only works until you sit down on a machine that is dripping with sweat and realize it is definitely not your own.

#2: Doing the Same Crap Every Day Will Drive You Insane.

No matter how may audio books you go through, magazines you bring, albums you listen to, or variations in exercise you try and do, you’ll eventually be repeating yourself in a gym, where – face it – you’re confined into a little room for hours, doing the same repetitive movements over and over until you can feel a difference. Life is too short.

#1: Welcome to a World Without Limits.

If you work out at home or outdoors, you can literally go wherever you want. You can invent new running routes every single day, stop in a different park and do body weight exercises, take a resistance band out in public and work out there is no limit when it comes to opening and closing hours, no boring repetition, and no costs.

MLM Shocking Facts You Absolutely Need To Know

November 10th, 2009 Jonathan Pitts No comments

MLM marketing (also known as network marketing) is a marketing structure used by some companies. The structure is designed to create a marketing and sales force by compensating promoters for both the sales of products they make and for new distributors they bring into the business that will promote the product as well.

Anyone who joins the MLM business and promotes the product is known as a distributor, they do not earn a salary but instead they are awarded a commission dependant on how many sales they make themselves and the sales of their down line. The process is similar to a franchise.

A downline is the people that have paid you to join the MLM business and you will get a percentage of their sales. So in essence you pay to join into the business and then you will earn for every person you bring into the business and any future sales they make.

So here some advantages of MLM businesses; Relatively quick and easy to set up, Can start straight away if you like, if you join near the top of the MLM line you can stand to build a long downline and make a lot of money.

Here are the Disadvantages of MLM; Methods of selling are outdated, this is because most MLM models encourage you to sell to your firends and family, pick up the phone and tell people about your product. These aren’t exactly cutting edge and many people will not be interested in sales calls! Another disadvantage is if you join near the bottom of the line most of the market will be saturated and you’re competing with experienced marketers. Now you will not be able to compete with these as nearly all MLM’s do not provide training on Internet Marketing and techniques.

So overall I think MLM’s are outdated as the marketing techniques they teach are no longer effective. Nearly every MLM will not provide you with the real training you need on Internet Marketing if you are to make money online and set up a successful home business.

Now there of course there are people making money from MLM’s and I’m not by any means trying to say they cannot make you money, but there is a very high failure rate as there’s a lack of training and support!

One of the main reasons people choose to make money online is to have free time but at the beginning you will spend most of your time on the phone selling your product and most people will not buy from you which leads to you getting disheartened and is the main reason people give up!

However if you still think MLM is the way to go make sure you join near the top of a line otherwise the market will be saturated and you will most likely not make many sales.

Mens Dress Shoes Really Can Make the Man

November 9th, 2009 Karl Brooks No comments

Mens dress shoes have not actually changed all that much over the years. However, they are still a very important part of the wardrobe. If you are going to an important event or interview, having the right shoes really does make a difference. And nothing looks worse than a nice suit with bad shoes.

Most mens dress shoes come in one of three styles: oxfords, loafers or derbies. Oxfords and derbies can be difficult to tell apart at first glance. The main difference is in the pieces of leather which are tied together in both styles. However, in oxfords, these pieces are also sewn at the bottom. Of the two, oxfords are generally considered to be dressier. Somewhat less dressy as well are loafers, which are made to slip on and off.

Fine mens dress shoes will be made out of leather. They may come in various neutral colors including white and burgundy, but the main ones are still black and variations of brown. You need to take a look at your wardrobe and decide which you need more. If you are only buying one pair, they need to go with the bulk of your dress clothing.

Once you have chosen a few styles you like, you want to find the one that is most comfortable. Correct sizing is, of course, an important factor. Also talk to the salesperson about the thickness of the inner padding. Shoes that are fine for inside the store on the carpet may be very uncomfortable after being worn outside for some time.

Finally, you want to be sure that you take care of your shoes properly after purchase. It is a good idea to invest in a pair of shoetrees made out of cedar. You will want to keep these in your shoes whenever you are not wearing them. Using a shoehorn to put them on will protect the leather of the heel. You should keep your shoes polished and buffed as well.

You may have to spend more money than you would like to get a really good pair of mens dress shoes. Make sure you protect your investment with proper care and attention. A quality pair of leather shoes can last a long time if treated well.
